Sleep six guests at a rate of R3 000 per night, minimum two nights. I copy the owner: Before covid we had an occupancy of 80% with foreign tourists and after we are very lucky at 55-65% occupancy now from South Africans. The monthly costs are levies R1000, R800 rates and taxes and electricity around R1000Ö.then cleaning services is dependant on occupancy we have ladies that come in as required R200 a day, WiFi R500 a month. One big advantage is, unlike the other reserve across the road, we could live full time there so very attractive for bush living basically in the Kruger.


I phoned this owner and discussed with him the question of the income from this property. He once again confirmed the occupation rate of Ī60% (average). That translates to R180 000-00 per month. After some hesitation he said "Let's make it R120 000-00". With the expenses of around R6 000 p.m and maybe insurance on the buildings and furniture (that I didn't discuss with him), we talk about roughly R100 000-00 nett per month! Payments are made by clients via internet banking. It's self catering, so his full time farmworker is there to receive the guests and see them off. The worker also maintain the property and oversees the cleaning by non-fulltime cleaners. He has financial statements available.


The farmworker lives in a small dwelling there but there's is no separate accommodation for the owner, so if you want to live there full time you'll have to build something more.
