Algemene inligting oor die reservaat / General information regarding the reserve
Heffing tans (jaar 2025) R40 000 per jaar (werk uit R3 333 per maand), wat insluit watertoevoer en algemene plaasbestuur en plaas-instandhouding. Daar is Eskom krag en die rekening is vir jouself. Daar word in beginsel nie gejag nie maar as daar surplusse ontstaan oes die reservaat se bestuur vinnig en effektief en dan kan die eienaars vleis aankoop. Jy koop effektiewelik ook 'n belang in die wild en mag deelneem aan bestuursbesluite. Inligting en boeke is oop en prosesse is deursigtig. Ook waar daar ontbos word - kan jy hout koop. Daar is 86 mede-eienaars.
The Waterberg stretches more than 150 km from the Marakele National Park in the south-west to the Masebe Nature Reserve in the north-east and is approximately 50 km wide for most of it's length. It covers an area of 14 500 square kilometers. Within it lies the Waterberg Biosphere Reserve, an area of 8 000 square kilometers designated in 2001 under the UNESCO MAB Programme. The Waterberg is home to 350 bird species, 129 mammal species and over 2 000 plant species, not to mention countless insect, butterfly and reptile species, making it very rich in biodiversity and an important conservation area. The reserve is a private game farm in the Waterberg, situated about 40 km north from Vaalwater. Elevation is between 1030m in the lower lying areas to 1250m on top of the mountain. The farm is operated on a shareblock system within the Waterberg Biosphere Reserve and provides a welcome getaway to the bushveld for shareholders. Game found on the farm includes giraffe, kudu, zebra, impala, blesbok, waterbuck, gemsbok, mountain reedbuck, red hartebeest, blue wildebeest, nyala, eland and bushbuck. Numerous varieties of smaller game sorts are also found - warthog, duiker, steenbok, klipspringer, scrub hare, banded mongoose, slender mongoose, porcupine, aardvark, spring hare, ground squirrel etc as well as a wealth of different bird varieties (over 350 species in the Waterberg ). There are no large predators on the farm, making it safe to walk or cycle. Leopard, lynx, genets and black-backed jackal occur naturally in the area but are very shy and rarely seen. There are in total 100 shares issued with no immediate plan to increase that number. From time to time existing shares do become available for purchase. Based on the current farm size and in terms of the Veld Management Plan, the game numbers are maintained, with regular game capture exercises undertaken to remove surplus stock. The average rainfall for the area is approximately 550 mm per annum. Groundwater levels are fortunately very good with groundwater springs running during the rainy season and filling the dams. The Waterberg Nature Conservancy was formed in 1989 among 3 landowners, Lapalala Wilderness, Touchstone Game Reserve, and Kwalata and today consists of in the region of 60 members who support the following objectives: To promote, conserve and protect the fauna, flora and wilderness areas, historical sites, river systems and natural heritage sites within the Waterberg Mountains; To promote the awareness of environmental issues by way of education, research, sustainable utilisation and tourism; To promote the upliftment, education and needs of the people employed within the Conservancy and surrounding rural communities; To promote, support or oppose legislation or other measures affecting the Conservancy and its members; To represent its members in dealing with government departments, other authorities and the public generally and to do all such things as may be in the interests of the Conservancy. As we subscribe to these objectives, Hermanusdoorns recently joined as a member. This Game Farm is situated approximately 35 km north-west of the town of Vaalwater in the Limpopo Province within the beautiful Waterberg Biosphere Conservancy. All the various antelope species can be found on the farm, including blue wildebeest, red hartebeest, waterbuck, duikers, blesbuck, kudu, impala, as well as giraffe, warthogs, vervet monkeys, baboons and so on! There are also many young animals at present, which is delightful to see. There are no threatening animals on the farm except the lonely leopards who roam all the farms in the area. This makes it an awesome place to relax in one’s own garden or go on long family walks or bike-rides. Children are completely safe here to explore all of nature without any supervision and they are truly in their element, because one of the rules is that the dung beetles have right of way! There is a main clubhouse facility which has a daily tuckshop for necessities like ice-creams, firewood and beers, as well as a large swimming pool, dartboards, table tennis, big-screen television and so on. The farm has its own full-time farm manager who lives on the property permanently and therefore manages it continuously. You are able to arrange with a mere phone call that your home is cleaned and the area within close proximity to the house is cleaned and grass mowed prior to your arrival times. This is then all arranged and you need only walk in and enjoy your stay! Holidays couldn’t be easier. 2 000 ha private game reserve. 80 shareholders. Share bloc company. Company has no bond and no debts at all. Game belongs to shareholders. Hunting by exception only. No commercialization. Permanent staff on the reserve in charge of maintenance and security. Levy R1 200 p m towards maintenance of fences, roads, water supply & salaries. Maintenance of you own dwelling is for your own expense. Detailed rules & agreements available upon request. Tydmorsers se motiewe wissel van
a) Naïef – hulle dink hulle kan die plaas op skuld koop en uitboer;
b) Kansvatters, skelms en diewe – dis mense wat vir hulself ‘n
voordeel probeer bewerkstellig, van
so min as ‘n gratis besoek aan ‘n wildplaas,
tot okkupasie totdat hy uitgesmyt word weens wanbetaling,
tot die skurke wat okkupasie neem en die eiendom stroop van
bates en dan verdwyn (“asset stripping”);
c) Psigopatiese Narcissiste wat dit doen om as ‘n belangrike persoon
behandel te word en sodoende ‘n ego-streling (“ego boost”) kry;
d) By uitsondering selfs die Groenetjies wat die eienaar van 'n
wildplaas probeer benadeel vir hulle eie bizarre redes.

'n Agent word betaal vir sukses. Moenie vir my sê ek ek het min tyd
gespandeer aan die transaksie nie - u weet nie wat agter die skerms gebeur
nie. As u my per uur wil betaal sê dit vir my van die begin af. Moenie my
penaliseer vir my effektiewiteit nie - dit maak my eintlik meer werd.
Die hoeveelheid kommissie is in ooreenstemming met die bedryfsriglyn en word
betaal deur verkoper (alhoewel koper dit subsideer).
Ons verdien ons kommissie sodra ons 'n koper vind wat gewillig en instaat is
om die eiendom te koop teen verkoper se minimum terme. Ondertekening van 'n
koopkontrak is die volgende stap en indien verkoper skielik nie meer wil
voortgaan met die verkoop nie word die kommissie onmiddelik opeisbaar en
betaalbaar. Andersins is die kommissie is betaalbaar by registrasie van
oordrag (in uitsonderlike gevalle kan die kommissie vroeër betaalbaar wees,

gain an advantage for themselves, of
as little as a free visit to a game farm,
to occupation until he is thrown out for non-payment,
to the villains who take occupation and strip the property of assets and
then disappear (“asset stripping”);
c) Psychopathic Narcissists who do this to be treated as an important
person and thus get an ego boost;
d) Exceptionally even the Greens who try to harm the owner of a game
farm for their own bizarre reasons.

Commission
An agent gets paid for success. Don't tell me
I didn't didn't spend much time on this transaction - you don't know what
happens behind the scene. If you want to pay me per hour tell it to me from
the start. Don't penalise me for effectiveness - it actually makes me worth
more.
The amount of commission is in accordance with the industry guidelines and
is payable by seller (although purchaser subsidises it).
Our commission is earned the moment we find a buyer who is willing and able
to buy at seller's minimum terms. Signature of a contract is the next step
and if seller suddenly refuses to proceed with the transaction the
commission becomes due and payable immediately. Otherwise the commission is
payable at registration of transfer (in exceptional circumstances it can be
payable earlier, for example when it is a downpayment scheme). For a
