Beneficiary: The beneficiary of this competition is a talented young female sevens rugbyplayer by the name of Lizabč (Libbie) Janse van Rensburg. Lizabč, 24, is captain of Tukkies female sevens rugby team. She started her rugby career in Touch Rugby and represented South Africa in 2015 in the Touch World Cup in Australia. Thereafter she started playing sevens. She played for Tukkies all around the world, Dubai, Honk Kong, New York - you name it. Lizabč now has the opportunity to attend a three month long Sevens Rugby Academy in Nieu-Zeeland but it's going to cost some.

Op skool (Tiger Valley Kollege) het Libbie jaar-vir-jaar 'n aanprysing gekry vir akademie (gemiddeld bo 70%) en sy was altyd haar skool se "Sportvrou van die Jaar". Wanneer Libbie aan 'n atletiekbyeenkoms gaan deelneem het het ek haar altyd net gevra: "Hoeveel items het jy deelgeneem en watter het jy nie eerste gekom nie?". Sy't gewoonlik so 6 items gedoen en in so een of twee so tweede / derde gekom. Wanneer dit 'n spansport was soos touchrugby het ek haar gevra: "Hoe vęr het julle gewen en hoeveel punte het jy aangeteken?".
Libbie is nooit gedisiplineer nie - sy't dit nie nodig nie. Sy doen altyd alles reg.
Libbie is lief vir die Bosveld en vir jag - sy's my jagbuddie.
Ek kan net byvoeg, alhoewel dit eintlik irrelevant is, dat alhoewel daar baie lesbians in vroue sewesrugby is, is Libbie beslis 100% nie lesbian nie.
Libbie se rugy het begin as touch-rugbyspeler en het sy in 2015 vir Suid-Afrika gespeel in die węreldbeker . Ons moes al die uitgawes self dra want daar's nie geld in touch-rugby nie.
Toe het die sewesrugby haar talent raakgesien en haar oorreed om sewesrugby te speel. Ten menste word haar uitgawes nou gedra en so klein bonussie bo-op dit. Toernooi-vir-toernooi wen sy "Speler van die Toernooi".
Libbie werk tans as 'n sportbeampte en as bemarkingsbeampte vir Tukkies. Sy speel ook vir Tukkies. Sy is kaptein van die span en die skopper.
Wat julle moet verstaan - in vroue sewesrugby is Tukkies soos die Springbokke. Jy kan amper sę dis die Springbokspan van die noordelike provinsies. Die Springbokke is gesetel in Stellenbosch. Behalwe dat dit vęr van die huis af is, is daar ook ander redes waarom dit vir Libbie beter is om vir Tuks te speel.
Die Springbokke en Tukkies speel van verlede jaar af in dieselfde liga. Hulle moet nog bots maar ons vermoede is Tukkies gaan hulle klop.
Die ander rede waarom Libbie nie vir die Springbokke wil speel nie is omdat Suid-Afrika nie 'n vroue sewes rugbyspan Olimpiese Spele toe stuur nie. Haar enigste manier om Olimpiese Spele toe te gaan is as sy 'n span haal wat wel 'n span stuur. Frankryk het hulle oog op haar maar op hierdie stadium is daar geen defnitiewe voorkeur nie.
Daar is al gesę dat Libbie die beste losskakel in die węreld is.
Toe hierdie geleentheid opgeduik het om die rugby-akademie in Nieu-Zeeland te gaan kennis opdoen en skouers te skuur met die heel bestes moes sy dit aangryp. Sy moet self betaal en dis 'n groot uitgawe - R75 000-00. Sy't drie maande langverlof ingesit by haar werk, het 'n deposito bymekaargeskraap en weg is sy!
Ek is baie lief vir my dogter en het mildelik bygedra maar my vermoë is beperk. Ek wil in elk geval hę sy moet leer geld groei nie aan bome nie so sy moet self spook om die meeste te betaal. Daar was 'n anonieme borg wat R20 000-00 inbetaal het. Daar was een borg wat 8 kaartjies (R2 000-00) vir die koedoejag-lotery gekoop het. Die lotery loop egter nie so goed as wat ons gehoop het nie.
Ek vra julle mooi - kom ons gee hierdie Boeredogter die geleentheid om haar pad oop te speel Olimpiese Spele toe. Iemand gaan die koedoejag wen maar dis vir die wenner 'n bonus. Ons "stout" koedoes op die lande is nie my grootste bekommernis nie - ek wil vir Libbie 'n hupstoot gee in die lewe.
Kompetisiereëls / Competition rules
The price of this competition is to attend a kudu (Tragelaphus Strepsiceros) culling expedition. We have too many kudus on our farm and unfortunately we have to cull some of them. You may attend as observer or you may hunt one of them yourself.
The culling shall take place on a date suitable to all parties involved during the South African winter (hunting season) of 2019 or on another date by mutual agreement.
It shall be a “short culling operation” – a maximum of three days.
It shall be an “assisted culling” – in other words the winner is expected to be satisfied with what he gets, not complain about conditions and / or what he / she doesn’t get and be of assistance where reasonably possible.
No trophy animals shall be culled.
If you prefer to participate - once the animal has been hunted, it belongs to the hunter (the winner). Only one animal per competition.
Gamefarmnet (P Erasmus Attorney) shall provide a hunting vehicle (no minimum conditions guaranteed), skinners and trackers (but not capers) and a cold room (no meat processing facilities) but shall not process the meat. In other words – once the kudu is in the cold room without it’s head, feet and intestines, the hunter is responsible for further processing.
If no animals are culled successfully it is over and done, and the price is forfeited – no argument about who’s fault it is.
The culling shall be conducted like a normal paid hunt, except it’s for free. All the normal rules and guidelines of the industry shall be applicable. Especially the safe handling of firearms shall strictly be adhered to.
The winner shall be accompanied by Tjaka Erasmus Attorney and / or Louis Venter – farm manager or somebody else appointed by either of them.
The winner may donate his / her price to another person, qualified to win this price.
The culling shall take place on one of the following farms:
Schaapplaats 520 LQ or Altoostyd 508 LQ or Wellington 519 LQ (Lephalale).
Gamefarmnet (P Erasmus
Attorney) guarantees the abundance of kudus on all these farms.
The culling shall be conducted legally in all aspects.
The winner must conduct the hunt with his / her own fire-arm. It is not impossible that the winner may be able to borrow a hunting rifle from Gamefarmnet (P Erasmus Attorney) but safe handling of a firearm shall be of prime importance. If you're inexperienced, rather be a mere onlooker.
The winner may be accompanied by a companion of his choice.
For the duration of the culling, Gamefarmnet (P Erasmus Attorney) shall provide the hunting party with free accommodation in the Palm Park Hotel including breakfast but nothing more.
The random selection of the winner shall be overlooked and certified by Charles Erasmus, financial manager of the Palm Park Hotel, Lephalale (Ellisras) or another competent person. A video shall be made of the selection process and shall be published here.

the winner after 10 days of the notification of the winner, Gamefarmnet (P
Erasmus Attorney) shall conduct a new prize draw for unclaimed prize as
determined by Gamefarmnet (P Erasmus Attorney). Prizes are non-transferable and
non-exchangeable for credit, cash or any other prize. If, for any reason,
Gamefarmnet (P Erasmus Attorney) does not find the same price as stated upon the
participant registration, Gamefarmnet (P Erasmus Attorney) reserves the right to
